Programme Note

Celebrated singer Carris Jones brings together music by female composers, exploring themes of love, joy, grief and betrayal.

Join us for a special evening concert bringing a woman’s perspective to the universal themes of love, joy, grief and betrayal. In conjunction with our display First Amongst Equals, discover the work of two innovative 20th-century composers, Rebecca Clarke and Madeline Dring, alongside the music of Judith Weir (the first female Master of the Queen’s Musicke), and Cheryl Frances-Hoad, who is making waves in the world of contemporary music.
