Programme Note

The sixth of six 'petits concerts', curated by James Lisney, raising funds for musical/education charities.  The title is taken from the annual series of recitals given by Charles-Valentin Alkan at the Erard showroom in Paris during the 1870s.

Impressionist and romantic piano music by Debussy, Chopin and Granados is paired with Enoch Arden, Strauss' melodrama for piano and narrator, performed and read by James Lisney

From 2pm on concert days, James Lisney offers piano tuition with all proceeds benefiting The Amber Trust.
