Zev Sebastian is very excited to play his first solo recital at 1901 Arts Club.
Born 2008 in Providence, RI (USA), Zev began his piano studies in 2017 with Alexander Boyd, later joining Junior Guildhall at the age of ten where he has continued his studies with Mr Boyd and gained his ATCL diploma in classical piano at 12.
He was a prize-winner at the 2020 Henle piano competition and won 1st prize at the 2019 and 2020 EMS piano competitions. He has performed in several Guildhall Open House concerts, at Chetham’s piano summer school, as a soloist and chamber musician at Dame Alice Owens School and was one of the first pianists to be invited to appear on Steinway UK’s Tiktok channel. Zev was also a special guest performer at the Costa Rica Piano Festival in 2021 and 2020 and the youngest performer at the 2021 Future Talent Gala Event at the Charterhouse in London.
He is generously supported at the Guildhall School under the Music and Dance Scheme, the Wrightson Trust, Awards for Young Musicians (AYM Lucy Gostwick Award) and is a 2021/22 recipient of the Future Talent Worsley Award.
