In 2014 at the age of 22 Daniel Lebhardt won 1st Prize at the Young Concert Artists auditions in Paris and New York. A year later he was selected by Young Classical Artists Trust in London and in 2016 won the Most Promising Pianist prize at the Sydney International Piano Competition.
Over the last year Daniel has made his debut at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, Merkin Concert Hall in New York, the Usedomer Festival in Finland, Palais Lichtenau in Potsdam, Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Steirisches Kammermusikfestival. He recorded music by Bartók for Decca and attended IMS Prussia Cove working with Ferenc Rados.
Future engagements include recitals at Wigmore Hall, the Gardner Museum in Boston and Morgan Library in New York. He also performs Rachmaninov Concerto No.2 with the Auburn and Dearborn Symphony Orchestras in Washington and Michigan.
Born in Hungary, Daniel studied at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest and currently at the Royal Academy of Music with Pascal Nemirovski.
Born in 1990 in New Zealand, Benjamin Baker studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School and the Royal College of Music where he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Rose Bowl.
Over the last year Benjamin has appeared as soloist with the Philharmonia Orchestra at Salisbury Festival, Royal Northern Sinfonia at Sage Gateshead, the Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese L'Aquila in Italy, Sinfonia Cymru and Maui Pops Orchestra in Hawai. This season he makes his debut with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra performing the Tchaikovsky Concerto.
Benjamin has given recitals and taken part in festivals across Europe including Wigmore Hall, Saffron Hall, Pedrera Hall, the Pärnu, Steirisches Kammermusikfestival, Cheltenham and East Neuk Festivals. He has toured throughout New Zealand, appeared as soloist with the Royal New Zealand Ballet Company and in 2016 joined Ravinia’s Steans Music Institute as a Fellow. In 2015 he released his first CD for Champs Hill Records. He was selected by YCAT in 2013, and in the same year won 1st Prize at the Windsor Festival International String Competition.
Benjamin plays on a Tononi violin (1709) on generous loan.
