Add to my Calendar 19-01-2023 19:00 19-01-2023 21:00 36 Connect Four - A concert for one piano and four hands CONNECT FOUR - A Concert for One Piano, Four HandsAll proceeds to The Hunger Project UK If you watched our "Piano Duels" concert last year – duets played by two outstanding pianists, Imma Setiadi and Nigel Clayton, then you will know that their next concert is not to be missed!  They give a brilliant, entertaining performance interspersed with fascinating details about the composers and the music.  Their concert last year was a delight, and I’m sure this one will be too.  Their theme this year is "Connect Four", not only connecting four hands on one piano, but also highlighting England as the musical crossroad of the world.  The programme will include the virtuosic and beautifully moving Mendelssohn Andante and Allegro Brilliante and the jazzy Sonata for Four Hands by Poulenc, alongside appropriately inspiring pieces by Debussy and Schubert. The Hunger Project's goal is to end world hunger by 2030.  Our approach is different - we see people living in hunger as the solution, not the problem.  We shift the mind-sets of women and men so they transform into leaders for the sustainable end of hunger.  Then, through our programs such as education, micro-finance, agriculture and health, we empower people with the skills, knowledge and resources they need to break the poverty cycle themselves.www.thehungerproject.org.uk   1901 Arts Club, London DD/MM/YYYY
