Award-winning Irish-Chinese pianist Aidan Chan curates an examination into the consumption of Wagner in contemporary contexts, alongside a cursory exploration of post-Cultural Revolution perspectives of Beijing opera.This programme will also feature a new work by British-Chinese composer Alex Ho, whose music and stageworks have been described as “menacing and poetic" (The Guardian) and "important and impressive" (Opera Today).
