If you have ever wanted to get to know the characters included in Elgar's Enigma Variations, this is the concert for you!

Join the Nottingham Philharmonic Orchestra and our presenter, Tom Redmond, to discover the story behind the work and Elgar's friends portrayed therein.

We also introduce you to Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, a black English composer famous for The Song of Hiawatha, who wrote the Four Characteristic Waltzes in 1899.  He knew Edward Elgar as a fellow composer.
