Programme Note

The Gesualdo Six present their second Spring Tour, a series of concerts taking place during the first week of April.

The programme will feature works from group’s debut album, English Motets, including pieces by Thomas Tallis and William Byrd, alongside other gems from the ensemble’s repertoire.

The Gesualdo Six were founded in Cambridge in 2014 for a concert of the Tenebrae Responsories by Italian composer Carlo Gesualdo, and have since gone on to perform over seventy concerts featuring a large and varied repertoire around the UK and Europe, as well as releasing a CD on Hyperion Records.

“Revel in the gorgeous sounds, the spellbinding music, the programmes with something for everyone. Don't miss them...” – John Rutter
