Programme Note

Our next concert is a performance of Handel's Samson on Saturday 28th March. We are excited to bring you our first concert under our new Musical Director, Rosie Howarth. We also have four superb soloists lined up and an orchestra so it should be a great evening.

The oratorio Samson is one of the first pieces that Handel wrote immediately after Messiah and is considered one of his finest works. It re-tells the last part of the Bible story, where Samson, blind and in chains, finds the strength for one final great act.
