Programme Note

Teddington Choral Society and its Musical Director, Julian Collings, are delighted to announce their forthcoming spring concert on Saturday 23 March 2024 at 7:30pm at

All Saints Parish Church,14-16 Market Place, Kingston KT1 1JP

(Doors open at 7pm)

 

The concert which will featur Verdi Requiem promises to be a powerful and thrilling performance. Composed between 1873 and 1874 this Requiem was intended as a commemoration of the anniversary of the death of the poet and novelist Alessandro Manzoni whom Verdi admired.

The choir will be joined by Soprano Lisa Swayne, Mezzo Soprano Beth Moxon, Tenor John Findon, Baritone Edmund Danon, together with a Chamber Orchestra and Phil Culling at the piano.
