Add to my Calendar 15-06-2024 19:00 15-06-2024 21:00 36 Cardiff Bach Choir: 'Summer Serenade' Chilcott's Songs and Cries of London Town is a contempoarary impression of the sights and sounds of London in music which is both thrilling and evocaive. the composition sets to musid the words of Orlando Gibbons and settings of poems by Worsworth and Dunbar.  The Spryg of Thyme by John Rutter is a cycle of folk songs from all corners of the British Isles with arrangement so well known tunes such as The Keel row and the Miller of Dee   in complete contrast Will Todd's setting of the Missa Brevis uses a variety of jazz styles in toe tapping arrangments of the well known Latin text.    The Conductor Stephen Moore is the choir's director of music and is also Director of Music at Llandaff Cathedral. He is an accomplished organist having played in many of the UK's Cathedrals. Pianist Sally Tarlton is the choirs regular accompanist and repetitieur and is well known in the South Wale area accompanying several choirs  Philip Aspden is the head of Music at the Cahedral School in Cardiff.
