The concert opens with Tavener's intense setting of Svyati, sung at almost every Orthodox service. Then moving back in time to Bach's Lobet den Herrn. The concert also includes cello solos from Bach and Rachmaninoff, plus a first performance of a piece by Aaron King, specially commissioned for this concert.We can promise you a wonderful and unusual evening.
