The programme is framed at the beginning and end by two compositions in American style, which are characteristic of our repertoire, as the brass quintet is particularly popular in America. At the centre are Werner Pirchner and Fredrik Högberg, two lesser-known but all the more interesting composers: Pirchner, as a jazz musician, knows how to deal with the instrumentation in a humorous and surprising way and - somewhat in the style of the Americans mentioned above - to create an impressive film music-like atmosphere by combining different genres. Högberg's approach is just as surprising and humorous, but much more experimental and modern. With Kerry Turner's Ricochet, we conclude the concert evening with NACHDRUCK and tired lips, but all the more energised. Altstadtrathaus - Dornse, Braunschweig DD/MM/YYYYDetails
