They chose two symphonies that are judged to be two of the best classical works ever written. It was hugely disappointing for everyone that the Covid Pandemic prevented this concert from taking place at the time. So it’s a great pleasure to announce that this concert will take place on Sunday 1st May 2022. Perhaps you could call this an Unlock Concert! It would be hard to exaggerate the effect on musicians of depriving them of playing opportunities for two years; it is very exciting to be back playing in front of such a supportive audience. Hopefully the first of many. Join Ensemble East as they unlock and belatedly celebrate Beethoven’s 250th birthday with two of the finest classical symphonies ever written.
