Conceived by Founder and Artistic Director, James Meaders, When Stars Align... unites outstanding professional and amateur musicians from across the globe in a powerful tribute to two of today’s most celebrated composers: Dan Forrest and Ola Gjeilo. The internationally acclaimed British vocal ensemble VOCES8 joins Vox Anima London Singers for this very special occasion.
Under the direction of Barnaby Smith, Vox Anima London Singers perform works by Dan Forrest, with the composer at the piano, including collaborations with VOCES8 on let me listen and Auld Lang Syne. VOCES8 then takes the spotlight for a dazzling solo set, showcasing their signature harmonies and captivating repertoire. Under Irene Messoloras, the concert continues with music by Ola Gjeilo, featuring the radiant Sunrise Mass with string orchestra. VOCES8 then rejoins the choir for Tundra and Alleluia, with Gjeilo at the piano.
