Christmas has, of course, been under way for some months, interrupted only by seasonal fixtures: Halloween, Bonfire Night, Remembrance Day and, of course, Black Fortnight! Now all these delights are passed and Advent has arrived, we can really concentrate on Yuletide. The South London Singers welcome you to our final offering of 2024 which will be conducted by Nicholas Wibberley who will be stepping down as our Director at this concert. This is a fairly traditional Christmastime concert: an evening of cheer containing lots of carols including many favourites, some performed by the choir only and others for audience participation.
As last Christmas, we are keen to share our joy in choral singing with the local community and, conscious of the financial pressures at this time, are offering free entry to the concert. Our costs in putting on this concert remain significant, of course, so we will invite audience members, if they wish, to contribute to a collection, without pressure, with as much or as little as they feel able.
