Goring & Streatley Concert and Starter Bands

Programme Note

The Goring and Streatley Concert and Starter Bands will be returning to Benson Parish Hall for their 2017 Spring Concert on Saturday May 6th. Doors will open at 7:00, the concert will start at 7:30.

The bands will be under their regular conductors – Andrew McBirnie for the
Concert Band, Claire Salmon for the Starter Band – and, as in previous years, the two bands will combine for a few numbers. With over 40 players in the Concert Band and about 50 in the Starter Band, the stage is going to be pretty packed!

The programme for the evening will reflect the wide range of music the bands play – classical, swing, film, musicals, marches, they will all be there.

The charity to benefit from the concert will be Music for Autism.

Come and enjoy an evening of great music!
