Jeremy will perform four virtuosic piano sonatas from the 1790's. Join us for an exquisite afternoon of Beethoven, considered one of the most influential musicians and greatest composers of all time. The sonatas make up a wonderfully diverse yet utterly cogent and self-contained body of work. There isn't a single sonata that it is safe to ignore - gramophone.co.uk There will be a half time interval of 20 minutes.Refreshments will be available. Jeremy studied the piano at the RCM with Michael Matthews and John Barstow, winning a number of major prizes, including the Directors' Prize. On leaving college Jeremy won a British Council scholarship to study at the Chopin Institute in Warsaw, was a finalist in the Overseas League, a finalist in the Jose Iturbi Piano Competition, and one of the first recipients from the Lord Boyle Trust.Jeremy has extensive experience as a performer working in this country and abroad as a soloist, accompanist and chamber musician appearing on television and radio.Whilst Jeremy enjoys working as a performer he also has a keen interest in teaching, and specialises in developing piano technique and providing remedial solutions for aspiring pianists.
