At LAST, you can again enjoy real opera, played live and safely, in your presence, by a reduced Orchestra of Chelsea Opera Group with singers of international renown and success and selected Players from the Chelsea Opera group’s own Orchestra, performing in front of a real LIVE audience!
This safely-organised celebration of live OPERA is sure to excite and satisfy once more after a long arduous summer. Leading International star, HELENA DIX, Soprano, returns to the live stage with COG to sing for a socially-distanced, real, audience. Also making a repeat appearance are the renowned Tenor CHRISTOPHER TURNER, and ever-admired Mezzo CATHERINE CARBY. Completing the quartet is superb Baritone JULIEN VAN MELLAERTS in his first appearance for Chelsea Opera Group. This exciting event, carefully arranged to meet all current guidance to keep the audience safe and comfortable, includes aria and ensembles from popular works by Mozart, Donizetti, Bellini and Verdi. The event will be led by Conductor Gary Matthewman also making his company debut.
