Tonight we hear the Requiem alongside Bach's 1733 Magnificat, a stunning extended setting of the Virgin Mary's speech from Lukes gospel for choir, soloists and orchestra. The Royal Hospital's own, critically acclaimed Chapel Choir, which is formed from some of London's finest professional choral singers and musicians, provides the chorus and soloists, and William Vann, Director of Music, conducts.
