St Andrew Camerata

Programme Note

Returning once again to the wonderful surroundings of Canongate Kirk, this year the St Andew Camerata will take you on a trip around the world with music and words to entertain. The enduring themes of goodwill, peace and happiness, laughter and song (with the odd wassail thrown in) will help us encapsulate The Spirit of Christmas... The evening will start with the highlight of our specially penned topical Christmas welcome (as has become a tradition) and will conclude - as it has for our last 12 Christmas concerts - when you join us in our marvellously self-indulgent rendition of 'Adeste Fideles' (you never let us down - it is always wonderful)! In between we will include some reflective musical moments as we explore the meaning of Christmas and reintroduce you to some old favourites. Put the date in your diary now! Tickets go very quickly … (£12 full price/£8 concessions). Tickets available in advance from members of the choir, or from the Usher Hall box office.

The St Andrew Camerata capture the spirit of Christmas in words & music
