Programme Note
A programme of solo songs and duets exploring love, levity and loss. Sopranos Carmel Edwards and Jane Hunt renew their duet partnership which was interrupted in 2020 by the pandemic;. Din Ghani will accompany them on lute and baroque guitar. The programme of French and English songs cover a range of styles, from early air de cour to the later air serieux, and from Jacobean lute song to Carolingian continuo song.
