This is the first of the three. Fressingfield Sounds presents Adrian Brendel, cello and Tim Horton, pianoplaying Bach, Beethoven, Janáček and ShostakovichOne of the most versatile and original cellists of his generation, Adrian Brendel has travelled the world as soloist, collaborator and teacher. A member of the prestigious Nash Ensemble since 2014, he has also appeared with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and many orchestras throughout Germany and Eastern Europe. His recordings include Shostakovich’s Cello Sonata as well as Beethoven’s complete works for cello and piano. Adrian’s frequent duo partner is Tim Horton, one of the UK’s leading pianists and a frequent performer at Wigmore Hall.
