Programme Note

In a concert that celebrates a return to live performance and whets the appetite for the Cheltenham Music Society’s 2021-22 season, award-winning local pianist Clare Hammond presents a typically imaginative and attractive programme featuring a selection of the fascinating Etudes by the undeservedly neglected Hélène de Montgeroult (1764-1836), Brahms’ Six Piano Pieces, dedicated to Clara Schumann, and Szymanowski’s youthful Variations on a Polish Folk Theme.
