Programme Note

Chester Philharmonic's Spring Concert featuring the delightful Qian Wu playing Brahms' Violin Concerto will be conducted by the orchestra's principal concuctor David Chatwin of the BBC Philharmonic. Qian, graduate of the Shanghai Conserveoir and the Royal Academy of Music, teaches at Cheetham's School of Music in Manchester. She has performed throughout Europe and her native China including the Chinese Embassy and for H.M Queen at Buckingham Palace. She was leader and founder of the Wu Quartet.whose debut CD recording was released in 2014
