Programme Note

The Sixteen is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its annual Choral Pilgrimage tour. This year’s ‘Angel of Peace’ programme features nine pieces from across the centuries, from medieval abbess Hildegard of Bingen to the magical realm of a brand-new work by the contemporary composer Anna Clyne.

The Choral Workshop will be taking place earlier in the day at 11:30am at the Vicar's Hall. Led by Harry Bradford (2019 Genesis Sixteen Conducting Scholar programme), this workshop provides a rewarding opportunity to explore the music inspired by The Sixteen’s 2025 Choral Pilgrimage programme including pieces by Taverner and Pärt. Tickets for the workshop cost £30.00 (with £5.00 off when you buy a workshop and concert ticket together).
