Northern Chamber Orchestra

Programme Note

The Northern Chamber Orchestra is one of the country’s top professional chamber orchestras and has received critical acclaim for its diverse and exciting concerts and for its many recordings. Its expansive orchestral repertoire includes challenging works and new pieces by contemporary composers. The NCO is also highly regarded for its inspiring learning and outreach programmes and for its engaging teacher training initiatives. The NCO is the ‘Orchestra in Residence’ at Buxton Festival and Manchester Metropolitan University, and has a special learning and performance partnership with Chetham’s School of Music.

Chloë Hanslip  has already established herself as an artist of distinction on the international stage. Prodigiously talented, she made her BBC Proms debut in 2002 and her US concerto debut in 2003, and has performed at major venues in the UK , Austria, Germany, France, Russia, Japan and South Korea.
