Programme Note
OPUS 1 trio returns to the Frome Festival programme to regale you with a programme inspired by folk dances and gypsy music from Bohemia to Buenos Aires.
OPUS 1 will dance you through Haydn's Gypsy Trio, Rachmaninov's oriental rhythms, Bartok's gypsy violin and four seasons of tango by Piazzolla. There may be a hungarian heel twist or two by Brahms before Dvorak's sublimely soulful Dumky Trio as the sparks from the fire waft up towards the stars and the music drifts away into the night...
OPUS 1 Trio brings together pianist Liz Kozlowski, violinist Tom Budden and cellist Damian Knollys.
