Taking inspiration from Italy, both composers also wrote experimental trio sonatas, combining these new ideas with the old contrapuntal tradition. This sumptuous programme presents mysterious Fantasias, ingenious Fugues and playful Trio Sonatas. This concert is part of the Instruments of Time and Truth SummerConcert Series 2022, and is generously supported by both John Osborn and Continuo Foundation.
