Programme Note

Charnwood Orchestra’s season ends in spectacular style with an exciting concert of twentieth century English music including The Planets. The concert will be in the Church of St James the Greater, London Road, Leicester on Saturday 2nd July starting at 7.30. There will be an interval bar.

The programme consists of three pieces by Vaughan Williams: The Wasps Overture; Fantasia on ‘Greensleeves’ and his Tuba concerto followed by Holst’s monumental  orchestral suite The Planets.
