An esoteric programme includes some more contemporary compositions by Jonathan Dove, Judith Weir and Bob Chilcott, many written as commissions for the Service of Nine Lessons and Carols at King’s College in Cambridge. David Cowen, Leicestershire Chorale's accompaniest and former organ scholar at St Peter's College, Oxford and Wells Cathedral, will display his skill and experience, with organ music by Messiaen.
