Programme Note
On 29th March we host our Spring Concert at Charterhouse Hall in Godalming. This features Brahms’ final symphony No.4, which the musicologist Donald Tovey has described as ‘One of the greatest orchestral works since Beethoven’. We are also delighted to welcome Yoanna Prodanova as our soloist for the Lalo Cello Concerto. Yoanna is an award-winning Graduate of the Guidhall School of Music and regularly performs in world class venues such as the Wigmore Hall. She is the cellist of the Barbican String Quartet and last year she featured on a CD release of the Brahms Clarinet Trio,
