We regret to inform you that, due to illness, Christian Elliott is unable to perform for us. We are delighted that Alice Neary has agreed to step in to perform the complete Beethoven Cello Sonatas with Robin Green.
Undoubtedly a highlight of our autumn 2024 season will be the opportunity to hear all five of Beethoven’s Cello Sonatas, which span the whole of his compositional life, performed in one evening by pianist Robin Green and cellist Alice Neary. From the classical vigour of his Op.5, through the lyrical expression of the A major Op.69, and culminating in the groundbreaking Op.102, this concert will offer a unique chance to experience the trajectory of Beethoven’s musical development.
