Programme Note

The 2023 edition of The Clements Prize for Composers calls for new works for piano trio. Compositions selected for the final will be performed by the Fidelio Trio in this concert, before a distinguished panel of judges selects the winner of a £3,000 prize. There will also be a public workshop in the afternoon - please join us if you can, for an exciting glimpse into how new works are prepared for public performance!

"The Fidelio Trio are dedicated to contemporary music and to commissioning new work, combining freshness with a nicely matter-of-fact approach” The Guardian

About the Sunday Concerts

Founded in the 1880s, our chamber music concert series is the longest-running of its kind in Europe. Conway Hall was purpose-built in 1929 to host concerts and lectures, and they have continued here until the present day. The ethos of “affordable classical music for all” still remains.
