Young British composer Rebecca Dale has been chosen as the second composer-in-residence for the ground-breaking five15 project to champion the musical talent of women composers. Rebecca’s year will kick off in style next month with the world première of her first work for the choir, the a cappella Radiate, at a special concert entitled "From The Depths" on Wednesday 5th July. The performance takes place in the Sammy Ofer Gallery beneath the historic Cutty Sark, the last tea clipper of her kind, as part of the London Oriana Choir's residency at the Royal Museums Greenwich. From The Depths marks the start of the second year of five15. The performance programme is comprised entirely of works composed by a diverse range of women, including Kerry Andrew, Dobrinka Tabakova and of course Rebecca Dale, as well as a second world première, of Ailsa Dixon's These Things Shall Be. We are delighted and honoured that Rebecca, Kerry, Dobrinka and Ailsa will be attending the performance, as well as last year's five15 composer-in-residence and five15 Ambassador, Cheryl Frances-Hoad.
