Programme Note

This year is the 150th Anniversary of the birth of Ralph Vaughan Williams. He wrote the Sea Symphony between 1903 and 1909; it was the first and largest of his nine symphonies. The text of the symphony is taken from poet, Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass.
The Phil is delighted to be performing at the De Montfort Hall once again.
