Programme Note
Soprano Carmel Edwards joins lutenist Din Ghani in his local village hall for yet more Dowland in his 400th anniversary year. In the first half they will give some idea of the historical context of his work with songs and solos linked to various personalities of the period. After the interval (tea, cake and sandwiches provided by the Memorial Hall team and included in the ticket price) they return with a performance of their "Dowland: dusk to dawn" programme premiered in May at St Bride's in Fleet Street.
