Its a wonderful piece with fiendish solo piano and tricky orchestral accompaniment. Lots of recognisable tunes from Rachmaninov’s repertoire intertwined with the Paganini theme.  The orchestra is also performing the brilliant Carnival overture of Dvorak, and to round off the evening, Brahms majestic symphony No.4.
