Programme Note
This concert is now sold out, we will not be able sell tickets on the door as we usually do.
If you have a ticket already, we look forward to seeing you on Saturday. If you don't please look out for information about our next concert in November 2025.
For centuries, solitude in nature has been an essential need for Europeans, as well as an inspiration for artists, writers and, so it would seem, composers. The idea of ‘being at one with nature’ also suggests a restorative state of mind, connecting us with natural landscapes and our primal instincts. The music here reflects on this theme, with pieces by composers from across Europe who were/are particularly attuned to the natural ecologies of their countries or regions.
Join NC3 and George Parris for a concert of music and poetry in the wonderful surroundings of FarmED in the Oxfordshire countryside. The concert will include poems by Mary Oliver, W B Yeats, Jaan Kaplinski and Jackie Kay and be followed by tea and cake in the FarmED cafe.
