Programme Note
Please join St Peter’s Singers for their annual Bank Holiday Monday Concert on 27 August 2018 at 4pm in Fulneck Moravian Church. The programme of music entitled BAROQUE & BEYOND will include works by Buxtehude, Bach & Mozart. The Singers are complemented by the principals of National Festival Orchestra, leader Nicholas Meredith with Alan Horsey at the console of the newly-restored Fulneck Snitzler/Binns organ all under the direction of Dr Simon Lindley.
This Bank Holiday concert sketches a journey from the early baroque period of Buxtehude, through its full glories in the music of JS Bach and on to the classicism of Mozart. Look out for the well-known aria 'My heart ever faithful'.
