Catch the real beauty of Handel choral rarities this August Bank Holiday Monday at the historic Fulneck Moravian Church just south of Pudsey
[LS28 8NT] – enter from the Roker Lane/Fartown end.
Acclaimed Leeds-based chamber choir St Peter’s Singers are joined by Principals of the National Festival Orchestra, organist Alan Horsey and soloists Claire Strafford, Lucy Appleyard, Peter Condry and Quentin Brown.
The conductor is Dr Simon Lindley, Music Director of St Peter’s Singers since the Choir’s foundation in 1977.
The music of the four works in this years Fulneck Baroque Choral Concert at 4.00 pm on Monday 29 August includes some choruses and solos from Handel’s immortal Messiah recycled for use in these anthems of the 1740s.
