Add to my Calendar 09-03-2024 19:30 09-03-2024 21:30 36 Guildford Choral - Concert For Peace - Vaughan Williams, Brahms and Faure In our current troubled times, there can be nothing more powerful than Vaughan Williams’ impassioned plea for peace, Dona Nobis Pacem, which was inspired by his personal experience of the horrors of WW1 and written in the late 1930’s as conflict loomed once again. This work will be partnered with Brahms "Tragische" Overture and the gentle and reflective Faure - Requiem, the composer’s very personal prayer for those who have died.
