Carthage College Choir

Programme Note

Returning to Europe, the Carthage College Choir brings its celebrated a cappella sound to the United Kingdom with a rich program of American choral classics. Founded in 1927, the flagship ensemble of Carthage College has toured extensively across the United States and Europe, performing in over 30 states and 13 countries.

Under the direction of Dr. Margaret Burk, the award-winning choir continues its legacy with a dynamic program highlighting the depth and diversity of American choral music—from folk arrangements and spirituals to contemporary works by living composers. This performance reflects the ensemble’s commitment to musical excellence, cultural exchange, and powerful storytelling through song.

Meet the performers at the wine and tidbits reception after!
