Programme Note

ONLINE CONCERT-MOVIE ON VIRTUAL CIRCLE

The concert programme around Schubert’s most famous quartet ‘Death and the Maiden’ will be staged in the unique atmosphere of Bern’s Reitschule and realised as a poetic concert film. Works from the Middle Ages to modern times contrast and interweave Schubert’s most famous quartet ‘Death and the Maiden’. The song setting of the eponymous poem by Matthias Claudius, which was created earlier, can also be experienced in this programme — with Patricia Kopatchinskaja as vocal artist.
