Programme Note
Handel wrote around 100 cantatas during his time in Italy (1706 – 1710). His patrons needed music on a weekly basis for entertainment, and Handel was happy to deliver. Mark Crayton (countertenor) and James Janssen (harpsichord) present four of these cantatas – the ultimate party entertainment!
