Programme Note
Born in Beijing China in 2007, Chuhe (Brooklyn) Fu started learning to play violin from the age of five. While growing up in China he was a winner in the Beijing Young Musician competition and also achieved second place in a national competition.
Since moving to the UK at the age of nine, he has continued to learn under Bjorn Bantock at Bedford School, and from September 2018 he has been a student of Susan Collier at the Junior Academy of the Royal Academy of Music.
This talented young teenage musician is also learning to play the piano and enjoys singing in his school choir.
We look forward to having him play with our orchestra.
The choir and orchestra will be joined for Puccini’s Messa di Gloria by Robert Tilson, tenor and Jack Holton, baritone. Robert, from Northamptonshire, who studied at Birmingham Conservatoire and the Royal Academy of Music, has sung with us before, and we are delighted to welcome him back. Jack grew up in Kent and studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
