She went on to study at the Korea National University of Arts with Professor Myung-Hwa Chung, Kangho Lee and Hyoung Won Chang under a full scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree aged 18. She completed her Masters in Performance, graduating with Distinction, in 2013 also completed her Artist Diploma in Performance in 2014 studying with Professor Alexander Boyarsky at Royal College of Music, London.Eun has performed in masterclasses with renowned cellists including Frans Helmerson, Miklos Perenyi, Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, Jens-Peter Maintz and Julian Lloyd-Webber. She has also worked with David Geringas and Arto Noras at the Kronberg Academy Festival and Wiener Meisterkurs. Including the 4th prize at the Sheonfeld International String Competition in China in 2016, Eun has won prizes at numerous competitions including the Paul Harris International Music Competition associated by Dino Chiani in Italy, Tunbridge Wells International Competition in England, The Great Mountain Music Festival Concerto Competition, and she was also a finalist at Jeunesses Musicales International Competition in Serbia. She won the Dvorak Concerto Competition in London presented in association with the London Cello Society which led to her performing Dvorak Cello Concerto with the Royal College of Music Symphony Orchestra in London. She made her debut in South Korea with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of 13 and other concerto performances include Daegu Philharmonic, Suwon Philharmonic, Seoul Symphony, Sejong Philharmonic, Essex Young People’s Orchestra, Johannesgasse Solisten and the Great Mountain Festival Orchestra. Eun has started giving recitals from the Kumho Prodigy series at Kumho Art hall which led to her recitals at Munho hall, at a reception for the New York Philharmonic Orchestra and Maestro Lorin Maazel, and at the Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Awards. In 2013 she was selected to perform Britten’s Cello Suite for “Britten at the RCM” at Britten Theatre and at Purcell Room, Southbank Centre for “The Rest is Noise” festival. Eun has performed in numerous venues around London with different projects including Wigmore Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Royal Opera House, Cadogan Hall, Southbank Centre, St. James’s Piccadilly and Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall amongst elsewhere in England, Italy and South Korea.Since 2011 she has studied under Professor Natalia Gutman at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole in Italy alongside her studies in London. Eun continued studying with her at Konservatorium Wien since 2014. Eun was an RCM Scholar supported by Leverhulme Postgraduate Studentship and was also awarded the Borsa di Studio Aldo Fiesoli for her studies in Italy. Eun is currently teaching at Royal College of Music as a deputy of Prof. Alexander Boyarsky, and is also co-director of “Cello Project Korea” which was formed in 2015, holding performances throughout South Korea. Eun Cho, Cello

Eun Cho was born in Seoul and began playing the cello at six years old.
