Programme Note

World O World by the Grammy Award-winning young British artist Jacob Collier is the climax of this extraordinary concert by Crouch End Festival Chorus under its conductor, David Temple.

The programme also features A Memory of the Ocean for choir, piano and cello by rising star Grace-Evangeline Mason and a beautifully hypnotic work by the Ukrainian composer Victoria Poleva, David’s Psalm 3. Paul Patterson’s exciting, characterful Time Piece was originally composed for The King’s Singers in the 1970s and has been arranged by him especially for CEFC.

Added to this rare feast of choral treats are John Tavener’s Prayer of the Heart, originally written for Björk and first performed chorally by CEFC in 2018, and Samuel Barber’s Agnus Dei, alongside Arvo Pärt’s mesmerising Fratres performed by The Chamber Players string quartet.
