Programme Note

Love is in the air with Slaithwaite Philharmonic Orchestra in April with Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet  fantasy overture, and Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story. BBC Philharmonic's Principal Cellist Peter Dixon is in the limelight for Bloch's Schelomo, plus an opportunity to hear the Afro-American Symphony by William Grant Still and A Short Ride in a Fast Machine by John Adams.
