Programme Note

Les Salons en Musique, a new series of chamber music

Pianist Célimène Daudet is a product of two cultures, French and Haitian. Her playing has been described as “seductive, delicate and full of burning lyricism”. The soloist has released several recordings (Bach, Beethoven, Debussy / Messiaen) and made regular appearances throughout Europe and in the United States (Carnegie Hall, Minneapolis), Russia (Rostov Philharmonics) and China. The great-great-niece of Alphonse Daudet is also the founder of the Haïti Piano Project, the first classical music festival in Haïti
